St. Lucia is a beautiful volcanic island in the Caribbean.

These peaks are called the Pitons.

The town of Soufriere is to the left.

Because the land warms up faster than the water, there are always clouds above the island. These bring showers to the rainforests. Down on the beach, however, we got only a few sprinkles.

Castries is the capital and largest harbor.

The people on St. Lucia are very friendly and love music. We had live music at our hotel almost every night.
