I Isaac Broomell of Christiana in the County of Lancaster in the State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind and disposed memory, do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say:
Imprimes I direct that my funeral expenses and just debts be paid as soon after my decease as reasonably may be.
Item I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Rachael all my property, real, personal and mixed. To have and to hold the same to her during her natural life.
Item At the expiration of one year after the death of my wife or of my death if I should survive her, I direct my executors to sell all my dwelling houses in Christiana and hereby empower them to make good and sufficient deeds of conveyance to the purchasers thereof.
Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah E. Linton Two Thousand Dollars.
Item I give and bequeath to my son Edward G. Broomell Five Hundred Dollars.
Item I give and bequeath to my son Henry Broomell Two Thousand Dollars.
Item I give and bequeath to my grandson Paul D. Broomell One Thousand Dollars.
Item I give and bequeath to my son Albert P. Broomell Fifteen Hundred Dollars.
Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Eva A. Carrothers Two Thousand
Dollars.
Item I give and bequeath to my son J. Norman Broomell Two Thousand Dollars.
Item I give and bequeath to Clarissa E. Broomell, child of my son Thomas W. Broomell One Thousand Dollars.
Item I give devise and bequeath all my interest in and to the Christiana Machine Company Works situate in Christiana to all my children, their heirs and assigns forever the same.
Item I give devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my property to all my children to hold to them, their heirs and assigns, in equal shares.
Lastly, I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my sons Edward G. Broomell and Henry Broomell the Executors of this my last will and testament. And I do hereby revoke, annul and make void all former and other wills and testaments heretofore by me made, and do declare this only to be my last will and testament.
In witness whereof, the said Isaac Broomell, the testator have hereunto set my hand and seal the 19th day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and ninety one.
Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Isaac Broomell the testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
The word Grand in the 23rd line of the first page was underlined before signing.

On the 20th day of October 1891, before me the subscriber the subscribing witnesses to the preceding Will and on their solemn affirmation did declare and say, that they were present and saw and heard Isaac Broomell the testator therein named sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the same to be his last will and testament and that at the time of the doing thereof he was of sound and well disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge, observation and belief.

October 20, 1891 Letters Testamentary granted to E. G. and Henry Broomell the Executors named in the annexed Will they being duly affirmed well and truly to administer the goods and chattels, rights and credits to which were of the testate according to law and also that they will diligently and faithfully regard and well and truly comply with the provisions of the laws relating to Collateral Inheritance.
