1. CHEYNEY BROOMALL (NATHAN 4, DANIEL 3, JOHN 2, JOHN 1) was born December 17, 1811 in Middletown Twp, Delaware Co., and died November 15, 1884 in Bridgeton NJ age 73. He was married to (1) ELIZABETH PORTER on November 27, 1836 by Rev. F. Ruthrauff. He married (2) LOUISA _____. He married (3) RUTH ANN LOPER January 24, 1855 in Cumberland Co NJ. About 1832, CHEYNEY’s father NATHAN, a miller, moved his family to Phoenixville PA, where he become involved in the iron industry. All of his sons worked in the iron and steel mills. Cheyney worked for Reeves & Whitaker at their Nailworks in Phoenixville. In 1848 he was transferred to the company’s Nailworks in Bridgeton NJ, where he lived for the rest of his life. All his children were by his first wife.

2. i. EDWIN RATHBURN BROOMALL, b. July 24, 1837, Thornbury Twp, Del. Co. PA; d. November 10, 1924, Hagerstown MD.

It is not known whether this child is a son of Elizabeth or Louisa, lacking a death date for Elizabeth and a marriage date for Louisa. Louisa is in the 1850 census in Bridgeton NJ with Cheyney and the two children.
3. ii. JOSEPH BROOMALL, b. 1844, Phoenixville PA.

2. EDWIN RATHBURN BROOMALL (CHEYNEY 5, NATHAN 4, DANIEL 3, JOHN 2, JOHN 1) was born July 24, 1837 in PA, and died November 10, 1924 in Hagerstown MD. He married (1) ELIZABETH WRIGHT on July 3 1862 or 1865. He married (2) IDA MAY FIRING. He married (3) MARY A WEAVER.

Child of EDWIN BROOMALL and ELIZABETH WRIGHT is:
i. EMMA DORA BROOMALL born March 17, 1867. No further information.

Children of EDWIN BROOMALL and IDA FIRING is:
i. MARY BROOMALL; born about 1871. No further information.
ii. THOMAS WEST BROOMALL, b. July 14, 1884, PA; d. March 1972, Sewell, NJ. He was the owner of a printing business. He married on December 25, 1906, HARRIET MENGEL GOUTIERE, daughter of EMILE GOUTIERE, a native of Belgium, and MITILDE S. CAMPBELL. HARRIET was born February 15, 1884 in Bridgton NJ, and died in November 1952 in Bridgton NJ. They had four sons; one living.

3. JOSEPH 6 BROOMALL (CHEYNEY 5, NATHAN 4, DANIEL 3, JOHN 2, JOHN 1) was born about 1844. He married MAGGIE _____.
