5. JAMES BROOMHALL (JOHN 1) was Episcopalian. The names of James' wife and children are not actually known. Anderson Chenault Quisenberry, writing in 1899 "Genealogical Memoranda," states that James has descendants in Chester and Delaware counties, PA, and that he never left PA. James served in the Chester Co. Militia during the Revolutionary War. We find James in Pennsbury Twp. taxables in 1785.
There are several Broomhalls in Chester and Delaware counties whose ancestors are not known. Some or all of them may be the children of James. See Unconnected Broomhalls.
