1. JOHN BROOMALL was born in 1801 in Pennsylvania, USA. He married MARGARET WALKERTON, daughter of SAMUEL and MARGARET WALKERTON of Chester County, PA, about 1826 in Pennsylvania. MARGARET was born about 1809. JOHN died between 1860 and 1870. Last known residence was Wilmington, New Castle County, State of Delaware (1860). In the1870 Census Margaret is a widow living in Darby Boro, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Several members of John and Margaret's family were sent from other locations back to Middletown, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, for burial, but it is not known at this time why this is so, or if John is buried there. Margaret Walkerton Broomall died 1 April 1896, Colwyn, Delaware County, PA and is buried at Middletown Presbyterian Cemetery, Middletown, PA. These Broomalls were associated with St. James Kingsessing Episcopal Church, Philadelphia, PA.

iv. MARGARET L. BROOMALL born 1835 in PA. Based on an affadavit in SAMUEL BROOMALL's Civil War files, either MARGARET L. (born 1835) or MARIA ANN aka AMANDA (born 1840) was the "sister of SAMUEL BROOMALL" that was the first wife of RICHARD HARRIS (born Hinds County, Mississippi, 2 August 1840). This first wife, sister to Samuel Broomall, died May 1888 and was buried in Media Borough, Delaware County, PA. Richard Harris lived with John and Margaret Broomall's oldest son, William (who was married to Christianna Brown), in 1862 in Columbia, Lancaster County, PA. and again about two years longer after returning from the army.
Either MARGARET or MARIA ANN was the first wife of RICHARD HARRIS, and died May 1888 and was buried in Media.

3. ANN ELIZA BROOMALL (JOHN 1) was born about 1830. She married (was married to EGBERT ALEXANDER, a brick mason, on December 2nd, 1854, by Rev. W. Mullins.

4. SAMUEL BROOMALL (JOHN 1) was born 1837 in PA., married first wife, name unknown, by 1876. She died between March and 18 August 1877, leaving a new infant, CORA MAE BROOMALL. Samuel married again on 18 August 1877 as a widower, AMANDA BOSTICK in Darby, Delaware County, PA. Samuel died 21 June 1893 of sunstroke, Philadelphia, PA. He is buried Media, PA. Cemetery unknown.

5. MARY BROOMALL (JOHN 1) was born in 1845. She married BENJAMIN SCHOFIELD, who was born in England in 1844, son of JOHN and ELIZABETH SCHOFIELD, who emigrated to Delaware County PA between 1845 and 1850. MARY died on July 2, 1894. BENJAMIN died June 25, 1908. They lived in Philadelphia in 1880 and Benjamin (as a widower) lived in
Colwyn, Delaware County, when he died 25 June 1908. Benjamin served in the 58th PA Vol. Infantry during the Civil War, enlisting 27 August 1862 and being discharged 6 June 1865.

7. CORA MAE BROOMALL born March 1877, PA., married between 1892 and 1899 a MR. MERRITT. On 18 April 1900 she married GEORGE PIPER WOOD, Philadelphia, PA. She died 1 January 1964 in Philadelphia, PA and is buried at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, Delaware County, PA.

ANNABELLE POLE 18 October 1922, Philadelphia, PA. daughter of JOHN FREDERICK VOLMER POLE 3rd and ANNABELLE WILSON, daughter of JOSEPH WARREN WILSON and TABITHA ANN VANDEVER of Coatesville, Chester County, PA. Irving died 25 Feb 1972, Pasco Co., Florida, buried New Port Richey, Pasco Co., Florida.
