Here we are starting to gather the cattle from the pastures at Merna,
Wyoming, and head them up the road to the mountain in Bridger-Teton National
Forest.
Lisa and Louie Roberts own the cattle. Melvin had loaned them us dudes to help out.
That's Lisa on the left with her two cow dogs; then Richard (orange shirt) Jan, me and Annemieke.

Other groups of cowboys are gathering other groups of cattle and will join us.
Here I am helping Lisa drive the cows alongside the road, while the others go after another group.

About an hour later we have gotten to the point in the National Forrest where there are no fences. It is harder to keep the cattle together here. They want to go off into the trees, or down into the swamps.
